Intersurgical® EcoLite™ Medium Concentration Oxygen Masks feature a unique design and materials to provide improved patient comfort and a reduced environmental impact. The latest manufacturing technology combines two non-PVC materials in the same product, the polypropylene material forming the body of the Intersurgical EcoLite™ mask is clear, lightweight and rigid enough to maintain the masks shape, while the second softer TPE material is utilized in the seal, which is in contact with the patients face. Patients with respiratory infections have specific needs and yet pose a specific risk. Conventional oxygen masks can generate a plume of particles from their exhalation ports, which can travel a distance of 0.4 metres resulting in a potential risk. The FiltaMask™ combines an oxygen delivery system with a filter media covering the exhalation ports. FiltaMask is intended for use on patients with respiratory infections who may be a source of aerosolised infectious pathogens and who also require supplementary oxygen. The FiltaMask is designed to reduce the risk to paramedics, hospital staff and visitors. A complete kit comprised of five valves, an adult Intersurgical EcoLite aerosol Oxygen Mask tube and humidification cup. The flow printed on the valves ensures that the patient receives a total flow of approximately 40 l/min. This is designed to meet the patients ‘normal’ peak flow requirements.

High concentration oxygen mask, also known as a partial and non rebreathing mask. This mask can provide concentrations of oxygen up to 80% at flows of 10-15 l/min (these values are approximate and depend on the patients breathing pattern). * A soft, thermoplastic elastomeric, face seal ensures a greater level of patient comfort. * An incurved nose seal designed to prevent oxygen entering the patient eyes. This eliminates the need for a separate metal nose clip making the product MRI compatible. * The unique nose seal is designed to equalize the pressure exerted on the nose as the seal conforms to differing nose shapes. * These design features combine to provide an improved seal on the patient face, which in turn, results in higher oxygen concentrations as less ambient air enters the mask. * The mask retaining elastic can be fitted either above or below the patient ears depending on the patient face shape. In the 'below ear” position it eliminates the discomfort and longer term trauma created by elastic to the top of the patient ears. * A choice of 'under chin” or 'on chin” positions provides a better fit on a wider range of patient face shapes. * Low resistance safety valves allow the patient to breathe room air should the oxygen supply fail or be inadequate to meet peak flow requirements. * The material forming the body of the mask is clear, permitting visualisation of the patient nose and lips. It is also rigid enough to maintain the mask shape during transportation and use.

The Silente has been designed to operate at a very low noise level. The large diameter body provides space for clear, widely spaced calibration and incorporates a 'pull-twist” action to prevent accidental adjustment.
