Frosted conventional lamps, which provide a generally diffuse illumination in the patients oral pharynx, are predominantly used in American Profile blades. Clear conventional lamps, which give a stronger, focused light, are used in English profile blades. Both frosted and clear will work in ALL conventional blades. They feature a soft matte finished surgical stainless steel which virtually eliminates glare and the lamps are prefocused to prevent light spray.
