Hi-Lo Endotracheal Tubes

Hi-Lo® Endotracheal Tube features include:

  • Meets or exceeds the guidelines of the cuff criteria
  • Thin cuff conforms to uneven tracheal surfaces to create low pressure seal
  • Large cuff diameter of 1-1/2 times the average trachea maintains proper low-pressure seal during tracheal expansion and contraction
  • High cuff compliance lies close to tube when deflated and expands easily without herniation; allows more efficient visualization of vocal cords during intubation/extubation
  • Large cuff resting volume together with long length reduces pressure against tracheal tissue; offers better protection against aspiration
  • Low intracuff pressure doesnt restrict tracheal tissue blood flow; reduces chance of tissue damage, even during long-term intubation
