Medication Delivery

Developed by a pediatric nurse practitioner, the VixOne™ PediNeb™ small volume nebulizer enhances the delivery of aerosolized medication while reducing the apprehension encountered by young patients. It features a pacifier to help calm infants and toddler during aerosol treatment. Medication is inhaled through the nose, not the mouth. A medication port directs aerosolized medication to the nose, eliminating medication waste associated with the ”blow-by” technique.

The In-Check DIAL G16 is an inhaler technique training and assessment tool. It is a hand held inspiratory flow measurement device with a dial top. The DIAL orifices are designed to simulate the resistance of inhaler devices from the DPI and MDI categories and enables clinicians to train patients to use more or less inspiratory force, to achieve their optimal flow rate with a particular MDI or DPI device. The Pocket Chamber incorporates a unique one-way valve between the patient mouthpiece and the chamber body. This highly sensitive, four-leafed silicone valve opens easily and provides little resistance to airflow while preventing patients from inadvertently blowing medication out of the back of the chamber. Smaller than most conventional VHCs and incorporates a stepped mouthpiece, a clear, anti-static chamber, and a low resistance expiratory valve that helps measure breath count and breath hold. The Southmedic MDI Adapter accepts both the new MDI with Dose Counters and traditional MDI Canisters. It can remain in-line with the breathing circuit and used repeatedly as directed by hospital protocol. Comes equipped with attached tether strap.

The PulmoMate is a piston pump-powered, 115-volt compressor with a custom-built metal head for durability. It delivers a consistent and optimal pressure flow to any nebulizer. The In-Check DIAL is a hand held low range inspiratory flow measurement device with a dial top. People living with Asthma, COPD or other lung diseases may be using Dry Powder Inhalers, Pressurized Metered Dose Inhalers or Nebulizers to breathe in medication. The DIAL can be adjusted to accurately simulate the resistance of popular inhaler devices which include MDI® and DPI® such as Turbuhaler®, Flexhaler®, Twisthaler®, Aerolizer®, Handihaler®, Diskus®, Ellipta® and Pressair® among others. The MICRO MIST small volume nebulizer is designed for performance and economy. It can be used for hand-held or in-line treatments. Due to its inventive capillary design it can deliver a consistent fine, dense mist at any angle up to 90°, thus patients can be treated from upright to supine positions. Optimal particle size (2.7 micron MMAD), efficient nebulization rates and minimal residuals result in effective pulmonary deposition. An easy-seal threaded cap and a 6 ml capacity anti-spill jar prevent leakage and ensure easy assembly/disassembly. A minimum of components and a clearly marked jar enable quick preparation and start-up. MICRO MIST is available separately or with a wide variety of components, according to customer needs. Empty nebulizer 04-002002EA has FiO2 settings adjustable from 35% to 100%. It has ports for air entrainment and an immersion-type heater. Empty nebulizers 04-5007P and 04-5207 have FiO2 settings adjustable from 28% to 98%

The Circulaire™ nebulizer utilizes a one-way valve in the breathing circuit along with an expandable reservoir bag. The reservoir bag acts as a holding chamber for the nebulized medication and prevents the aerosol particles from being vented to the atmosphere. The one-way valve holds the aerosol inside the reservoir bag until the patient actively inhales. It aerosolizes medication into a particle size that is between 0.9 and 1.2 microns. It also includes a resistor cap on the exhalation side, enabling the severe COPD patient to replicate pursed lip breathing when desired. The pie-shaped opening is adjustable for patient comfort and enhanced medication delivery.

This mask's soft, latex-free plastic construction ensures a comfortable fit. Its "toy-like" like appearance helps provide a calming effect on children when taking an aerosol respiratory treatment.

The BreathRite™ Rigid MDI Spacers with Mask combines design advantages with portability to provide both effective medication delivery and potentially increased patient use.
